So many folks have been asking about my trip to Washington D.C. I know it’s taken a while for me to get myself organized, but here it finally is, my wrap up from the 2018 AMTA National Convention in Washington, D.C.!
There were lots of meetings, lots of food (including dessert), lots of sightseeing, lots of classes, and a lot of time spent with dear friends I only get to see at convention. I hope each and every one of you get the opportunity to experience the kind of crazed joy that is a massage convention. Perhaps your life’s focus is not massage therapy, but surely we aren’t the only ones who connect like this each year!
And with that, enjoy the photo show!
This is me with my friend Becky from Nebraska. She is a joy to know and I always look forward to our visits.
The “Hubhouse” was a gathering point for many during this convention. Alabama, Tennessee, Alaska, and Iowa in the house!
An appropriate message for our world today.
It was so terribly hot, but the WWII memorial offered a nice place to sit and cool down.
I had forgotten how large Lincoln’s memorial is.
This is one of those memorials that you can’t forget once you’ve seen it. I recommend seeing it in the daytime and at night. It’s worth the effort!
I did take a few classes while at convention this year. Learned to tape feet for arch support and pain relief.
Checking out all the new products in the vendor hall. Krissy says NO to this one!
AMTA-AL Chapter members at the dinner dance. We clean up well!
